Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

Country Club Member ship

I bought an equity membrship to a country club for $13000, I put my name on the resignation list several years ago. The club says they have to sell 5 new memberships then one on the resignation list is sold. They recently lowered the price from $23000 to $6000. When I went on the list the price was $18000, they said I would only get 80% of that and not the 23K, because that was the price when I put my name on. Now they are saying I will only get 80% of $6000. My question: is that legal, do I have any recourse? I am currently at #5 and I imagine with the lowered price and their very active marketing, I will lose thousands of dollars. This is WCI.

Thank you so much for your help

Re: Country Club Member ship

Read your contract with the club. The redemption process will be spelled out there and would be binding on you.
