As a practicing lawyer what ethical issues are you concerned about when using this site?

A good question. There are issues, depending on how any particular question is answered. Unless trhe question is very focused, definitive answers cannot be given -- but that does not mnean that information (or advice) cannot be offerred. Ethically, I believe you have the very same obligations that you would have when someone cdalls on the phone and askes you a question. Here, the question is just in writing.

The questioner does have a way to see who is answering the question and can contact that answering lawyer (although wioth me that has happenned only on a very few occassions).

Do you have a particular concern? The ineternet / e-mail form of communication is preferred by many and it is easier to get directly to a lawyer this way. All in all I view this as a valuable resource. For most questions that I see, the answers are obvious. When the answer is not, I try to give general advice and encourage the questioner to either seek additional counsel or provide more information.
