Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

Father's Estate

We have been court ordered to close my fathers estate. However, we do not agree with the extremely high charges from the lawyer that prepared the estate. If we close the estate, will we be agreeing to the amount charged? Should we write the court requesting that the estate be left open until a settlement?

Normally you can still challenge the attorney's fees after the estate is closed. But if the lawyer is the executor, things may be different and you should consult another attorney first.
