The lawyer signed my name on a document

A friend I recently went through a divorce and found her attorney or his asst signed her name to one of the documents and it was then notarized, but she's certain it's NOT her signature. Can he do that? She didnt give him POA...

No. He cannot do that without express permission to do so. Even with permission, it is illegal for the norary to notarize the attorneys signatuire as being yours if she/he knows that it is not you that is signing.
