Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

Layofff

I was layed off Wednesday June 25th 2008 and was told my last day was Friday June 27th 2008 and settkenent paperwork would be there to sign. However, the paperwork is not there and I'm sure I am off their payroll as of Friday. Is this legal?

It depends on the terms of yoour employment contract. If you have no agreement that would prohibit this, then it is "legal".
