lese agreement with roommate

terms start on june 1,2008 -5/31/2009. both of us signed on 5/5/08. she wants to leave and i need her half of the rent. is she responsible or can she walk

Sure, she can leave. The landlord can sue you and her or just you or just her. You will be the easy one to sue if the rent is not paid because they know where to find you.

You can always sue her for her half. I hope you have something in writing between you and her about the responsibility to pay rent.
