Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida
I have lost a clients house key. They blew off the back of a truck. there is no address on the key chain indicating where the home is located. I offered to have a locksmith come out last night so I could gain entry to take care of the pets, they declined, this morn they are saying if I do not pay to have all 4 doors rekeyed, they will take me to small claims court, it was an accident. Do they have a leg to stand on?

yes they may be able to get you to pay for rekeying all entry doors. you have possession of the keys and due to your negligence they were lost.
