Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

I recently sent a locked up hard drive to its manufacturer with a guarantee that they could extract the data provided it had not been burnt, wet, or crushed. None of which have occurred.

I have all of the tracking documents including the sign received ticket at its final destination.

I have been following up with them regularly as they could not seem to locate the part after admitting they did receive it

The data on this drive is very very sensitive and I am now being told that they have lost it.

The financial impact of this data will be detrimental in the very near future so much that it will change the lives of my family and myself forever

Can you please tell me if I have any recourse

The terms of their guarantee will control. what does the guarantee provide? they are likely not responsible for consequential damages associated with the lost data, but that is just a guess. you need to have guarantee reviewed by an attorney.
