Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida
Teen drinking
I recently attended a formal event for high schoolers at which a few of the teens had been drinking before the event. At the even it became apparent that a few of the offenders had gone way over their limit, they ened up on the floor throwing up. the following monday the one of the students came to the police officer on our school claiming shhe had been drugged. The school is now requesting that everyone fill out reports as to the progression of events that evening. The girls urin analysis came back negative for any drug forms. A few friends and myself are now being accused of suppling the alcohol. My question is, Am I legally required to summit a report, also Am I or my friends required to offer any other information other than we saw alcohol and we did not use it?

Re: Teen drinking
No -- you need not cooperate with the authorities trying to find out how a significant number of under age teenagers manged to get drunk out of their mind. No reason to assist. After all, it is not like they might get drunk again and drive a car and hurt someone. Why wouldn't you want to help?
