Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Florida

years ago my father had money in a safety deposit box that no one knew he had. There were four people in the bank when the box was open. His wife, stepson, son by his 2nd wife an one other who could open the box. I always wondered what the note said but never question it. My Uncle said your dad wanted to give you $500. So that was it.

I saw my step brother 8/1/9 who was adopted by my dad and just asked if saw the note. He said why yes, the note said if you are reading this note I have passed away and the money in here is to be divided up equal to my four sons. There was over $18,000 in the box. I guess I'm asking after 30 years, why didn't my uncle give me my fair share?
