Despite what conservative talk show hosts are saying about lawyers running up doctors' insurance rates with lawsuits, it's extremely difficult to sue doctors. One of the many requirments for suing doctors is that you must find a doctor who will say that the first doctor did something wrong. Obviously, it's pretty tough to find a doctor who will "rat out" another doctor in court, even though they'll sometimes say it in private. It sounds like that's the problem your lawyer ran into.
On the other hand, it's easy, especially for insurance companies, who keep doctors on retainers, to find doctors to say that nothing was done wrong.
Sounds like that's what happened to you. You may want to keep trying to find another lawyer, but hurry: insurance company lobbyists have also made sure that you have the shortest available time of any lawsuit within which to sue dooctors.
There should be plenty of lawyers wanting your case if there is significant damages and a causal relationship. see www.ConsumerLawyerHelp.com for information on malpractice cases.
Send me an email in the area you live and I am sure I can locate a lawyer for you, but remember, read my website first.
