I am living with a man and we have a
house mortg in both our names. We
are splitting up so what is the best way
to handle this? Neither one of us can

The best way to handle it may be to sell the house. You could agree to rent the house, but that could get messy. Since both of you are on the note and mortgage, the bank can sue either one or both of you if the payments stop. I would figure out a way to sell it. Agree on a price that, if offerred, would be acceptable. Be sure to put your agreement in writing.
