Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida
I took my 2 yr old to an ER for what I knew was asthma. We were not seen by a dr. but a nurse practioner. She said it was allergies and to treat her with OTC meds. I explained I had already tried that and she told me to use a different one. I was waiting for paperwork to leave and a nurse came in and said i hd to keep my child quiet. I told her I could not so since we were basically done I would just leave. She grabbed my arm and told me I couldn't until I had my print out. I pulled away and again she grabbed my shoulder. Finally I left. I took my daughter to another ER and they indeed diagnosed an asthma issue and gave her meds right away. When I contacted hospital A they wanted to know how much monetary compensation I wanted to not go to an attorney and go public. I am supposed to have a meeting with them. I have know idea how much I should ask for.
