Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

I went to a dentist to have an tooth extracted, he pretty much broke off the top, the same tooth continued to bother me so i went back in to see what they could do, I saw another dentist which informed me that he was suppose to refer me to an oral surgeon that if he tried to remove that piece that he left that i would have become paralyzed on that side of my face. can i sue for malpractice?
