Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

Lingual Nerve damage...Now What?

I went in for a routine filling on Nov. 1st, I have not been able to feel or taste on the left side of my tongue since the needle went in. I have lingual nerve damage. I have spoken to the dentist 3 times since then, and he is now trying to refer me to a friend of his for oral surgery. Are there any lawyers in the area with previous lingual nerve damage cases?

Yes -- It is critical that you see a specialist in micro nerve surgery. These things do happen and the nerve can be repaired -- but you cannot wait long. After about 3 months the ability to successfully reattach the nerve diminishes significantly. There is a very good doctor in Atlanta that specializes in this procedure and you can probably find him through a google search.
