Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

I went to the emergency room when I became very ill.X-rays and an MRI was done.The nurse assigned to me told me I had twenty to thirty stones in my gull bladder.This was over the weekend and I did not have insurance as I had just started working for the government and was not covered yet.Monday morning I saw the doctor.He told me that I did not have gull stones,only a slight hernia and there was really nothing he could do.I then checked myself out of that hospital and my wife drove me to another one where it was determined that I had a large number of gull stones and was put in for immediate surgery.The doctor at the first hospital lied to me and purposefully misdiagnosed me because I didn't have the money or the insurance to pay the bill.Is this not illegal?

Nothing in your post leads me to conclude that the doctor "purposefully misdiagnosed [you] because you didn't have the money of the insurance to pay the bill." It does sound like he failed to correctly diagnose your condition. You did receive appropriate care and were not injured because of the delay. You have no case to bring.

I agree there is no medical negligence. However, if your feelings are stong enough, get a copy of the records to see if in fact you had been diagnosed with stones before you were released. If so, you might want to consider a complaint. see www.ConsumerLawyerHelp.com for links to make a complaint.
