Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

Medical Malpractice

We are in Florida and back in March my father in law was hospitalized with advanced dementia and a raging UTI, he has a DNR in place, he coded and was resucitated while in the hospital despite the DNR, he is now in a nursing home with no quality of life, he has parkinsons, advanced dementia, crohns, prostate cancer and who knows what else will appear, is there recourse for us since he was resuscitated while in the hospital when he should not have been?

Re: Medical Malpractice

Possibly. These are difficult matters. I hate to ask this, but what are the economic consequences to his wife or the family if any? I know the pain and suffering.

Re: Medical Malpractice

These can be very difficult cases and it depends, in part, on whether your father-in-law is married and, if not, who the survivors are. You should contact an experienced medical malpractice lawyer. Speak to someone who actually handles medical malpractice cases -- not a lawyer who will just refer it elsewhere. If you would like to speak to me just call or e-mail at your convenience.
