Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida
I had a nasal surgery performed and the results were undesirable. Here is a statement from the Drs operative report. "After informed consent was obtained, particularly explained to the patient that due to the tilting of the columella on the left there still may be some slight deviation to the left at that point despite repair." However, it was not mentioned or disclosed that the surgery might make matters worse than before the surgery and this was precisely the result. The surgery resulted in greater deviation to the left than prior to surgery and almost complete blockage of airflow through the left nostril. I am now scheduled to have a second surgery to repair the damage caused by the first surgery and wonder what my rights might be.
