Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida
I had all of my natural teeth pulled April 21st, 2011. During the extractions my sinus cavity was punctured and has been healing. The teeth that they gave me do not fit, and they do not look like my teeth did at all. I have not been able to eat solid food for over 3 months now, my face is constantly sore from the pressure of being stretched, I can't speak correctly, and I look ridiculous. I have gone back with my complaints several times only to be told that everything is fine. I recently decided to get a second opinion which has confirmed my complaints. The new dentist says they missed the bite completely meaning the teeth do not line up with each other. They are way too big for my mouth, and he said they look like they were made for a short round faced male, and I am a female. Do I have any rights? I am now paying to have a new set of teeth made when it has only been 3 months.

You may have a claim. Read my discussion of medical malpractice on my website to get some insignt on what it takes to have such a claim. www.FL-PI-Lawyer.com If the work was done negligently and you were damaged, you meet the two elements of a case. But we lawyers that handle such cases look to see what the damages are, what the expense to pursue the case would be, the time involved, and what we believe a jury might award in relationship to these factors. Dental cases tend to settle much more than medical malpractice cases, but the process is the same.
