Root canal problems
My daughter recieved a rootcanal on her front adult tooth4 years ago. Last year it went bad and the dentist sent us to a specialist. he sent us to a dentofacial institute to drain out the infection. he redid the root canal, and its gone bad again.i paid 3700. for these second procedures and now another doctor says he wont touch it to go back to the original dentist. this has caused her frequent fevers lots of pain.can i do something?

probably not. the laws of Florida -- enacted by those we keep sending to Tallahassee -- make it very difficult and very expensive to bring a medical malpractice case. Absent a significant, permanent injury cases of even clear negligence cannot realistically be brought. That is the price, so the politicians tell us, to protect the doctors from so called "frivilous" lawsuits. The losers have been those injured by medical negligence.
But I digress, the mere fact that you have had a bad result does not mean that the doctors did anything wrong. It is unclear from your post why your daughter has had the poor results. It may be just "one of those things" and not the result of negligent treatment. You would need the testimny from a qualified expert to tell you whether the root canals were done properly in the first place and why they have failed.
