Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

I was rushed into a pacemaker placement on December 31, 2014. After 1 1/2 days I was taking to OR.

No one informed me about this and therefore I refused to sign until a doctor came to discuss this procedure and need of pacemaker but to no avail.

I was beginning to feel drowsy and I signed.

I am very sensitive to drugs and after taking dulcolux on December 29,2014 my heart rate dropped. I never had a heart problem nor did anyone in my family.

All I remember when I woke up after surgery was such self pity for what had just happened to me and haven't stopped crying since.

Pain on my left arm never went away and today my left arm is so weak that even carrying my handbag is painful.

My heart resisted the pacemaker. I developed arythmias and I was put on blood thinners. I was told that I was at high risk of heart attack or stroke.

I also have multiple sclerosis and the pacemaker made my symptoms intolerable.

I went for second opinion and the new doctor after months of testing and adjusting pacemaker to an almost off setting my arythmias went away.

On October 18,2016 pacemaker was removed.

I now can have a brain MRI which I badly needed for my MS which is so vital to to my condition.

I have suffered almost two years of extreme stress and pain and fear of dying.

My story is very long but will keep it short for the time being.

My name is Katie Grammatikakis.

My email is: [email protected]

My telephone is : 914-882-3885

This event took place in broward county in Florida.

I would appreciate any legal advice.

Thank you,

Katie Grammatikakis

If this is malpractice the statute of limitations runs in less than one month. You are not likely going to find a competent malpractice attorney within this timeframe or even the extension which can be sought. You need legal help now.
