Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida
I was just wondering the same thing as the original question. My father had open heart surgery which he developed a staph infection in the sternum they went back in and replaced the wires they had put in the first time and cut away some on the bone surrounding the wires. This was about a year and 1/2 ago and he is still struggling with this. Now he just says he is waiting on heavens door step just an awful way to live.. He just wanted to know if he had an legal ground to stand on?/
Thanks

See my discussion of medical negligence at my website. Infection is a problem in every case. It is a known complication. The negligence is usually in the failure to diagnose and treat infection timely. Sometimes, it is a break down in the hospital sterilizing policy. All of this requires investigation.
