Legal Question in Military Law in Florida

does military law apply to my juvinile record as a civillian

recently i got my ged and tried to enlist in the army you need a score of 30 on the asvab test to enlist i scored a 52 wich is higher than the score needed to enlist but i was told that my juvinile record (adjutification with held for succesful complition of pre trial program) was keeping me from in listing because according to military law im a convicted felon but i have the legal right to own firearms and vote civially im not a convicted felon i was told that if i had a high school diploma they would give me a waiver for the juvinile record but because i have a ged they wont give me a wavier my question is should this keep me from enlisting

The military services set their own recruiting policies and goals. They change from time to time based on the needs of the service. Sometimes you can get waivers for a criminal record, and sometimes you cannot. Your timing may be wrong. But to answer your question, they can differentiate between a H.S. diploma and a GED, in terms of waiver eligibility. You may want to check with the recruiters of all of the various services, including the Coast Guard, if you truly want to serve. Keep trying. Your country needs you.
