Legal Question in Military Law in Florida

Re-enlistment after 10 years.

Other than the awol, my service record was spotless. At the time, I was immature and not thinking of the consequences. I know want to re-enlist. I would like to know my options and what the chances are. I hear of other people going nuts and re-enlisting, I just went awol for 26 days! I cant think of nothing else but re-enlistment. I screwed up, I dont want to pay for that the rest of my life. I just want to re-enlist and make things right! Thank you!

Re: Re-enlistment after 10 years.

I take it you have an RE-4 re-enlistment code on your DD214. The service you were in will NOT change it. But that does not stop you from applying to a service of your choice, and even the one which bounced you, based upon maturing for ten years. Be prepared to SHOW them how you have changed and grown. Letters from clergy, teachers, clients, business associates all help.

See a good recruiter for the service of your choice. Hell, they even take convicted felons.
