Legal Question in Military Law in Florida
UA Marine
My husband has been UA from the Marine Corp for about 5 months he finally is ready to turn himself in, we are planing on dropping him off ourselves that way the process to the brig is quicker, what is the maximum penalty he could receive?

Re: UA Marine
If it goes to a court-martial, he could get up to a year in jail. More likely though, he may just be given a discharge without being taken to a court-martial. He should be represented by an attorney or at least speak with one before he makes any statements or makes any decision.

Re: UA Marine
Depending on how you do it, he may not go to the Brig.
Any sentence would depend on a conviction, the reasons he went UA, his prior conduct, and his attitude.
