Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

2 1/2 weeks ago I was sitting at a stop light in traffic when a taxi slammed into me from behind and forced me into the vehicle in front of me. The driver of the taxi then ran down a side street that just so happened to be a dead end. I called 911 after making sure my 3yr old grandson and the lady in front were okay. The officer came and the taxi driver was arrested. We received a crash report with all the info and I made contact with my insurance company. They have tried since the following day of the accident to make contact and they are not responding. I have not paid my deductible as of yet and my vehicle is still in need of repair. What are my rights and should I seek a legal consulatation?

The taxi may not have had any insurance. Have your car fixed by your own carrier. If you were injured, you may have a uninsured claim for pain and suffering.
