Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida
My 19 year old son was injured while riding an atv he was on a county maintained road where there are many dangerous curves , however there were no road signs indicating any curves . He has traumatic brain injury and is unable to walk or talk at this time . I rode down the road he wrecked on and in the exact spot he wrecked they have now put up a sign showing that there is a curve.

A study must be made by an experienced lawyer with experts in road design and signage. The scene must be videotaped. Also the ATV must be examined for defects or if the particular model is unsafe due to design defects making it subject to rollover. Call me quick at 305-305-3351. Was there any 3rd party (other than the county) who may have contributed to the accident - or did your son simply run off a curve in the road?
I am sorry to hear about your son's accident and injury. I know these are difficult times for you. However, if you intend to make a claim for your son, the advice given above regarding getting a lawyer who is experienced in these matters is very important. As soon as reasonably possible, the area needs to be investigated. Moreover, the ATV must be examined. See my website at www.FL-PI-Lawyer.com.
I'm very sorry to hear about your son. As the other attorneys have stated, there is no time to waste in investigating the case. The area in which the crash occurred must be examined before it changes, and the ATV should be examined too. You should consult with an attorney who is experienced in handling this type of case. In particular, you should look for an attorney who is board certified in civil trial law, as are the attorneys in our office. This indicates that the attorney is an expert in this type of civil case. We offer a free consultation and would be happy to speak to you about the situation. Our number is 800 805 8305.
Was there signage before? Did the County ever make a traffic study of the area? Have there been prior accidents in that area? Your son may have a viable action against the County but a full investigation is required. Good luck.
