Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

My 15 year old son is being sued for a car accident, he lives with his father who has physical custody of him. Am i still liabile for the law suit.

Liability for a minors auto accident depends on a number of factors.Your question canot be answered without knowing. Did you own the car he was driving? Did you sign for a restricted license? Generally, a parent is not responsible for negligence of a child. Were you in the car when he had the accident?

But---is he a named insured on your auto insurance policy that would cover him?
