yes. If you have insurance notify your carrier. If you have none & receive a claim letter you should retain an attorney to protect your interests. Good luck.

Yes, the person can file an action against you. Typically, your homeowner's policy will cover claims of this nature. You may want to discuss the bite with the person and see if there is anything you can do, etc., to try to prevent a lawsuit.
