Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

Can my attorney who has represented me for the last 2 years in an accident case who is merging with another law firm force me to sign an agreement for that law firm that I give up my rights to trial by judge and jury and defer to an arbitrator over the attorney fees?

Generally speaking, no, he cannot. If your original contract did not contain that clause, then he should not be able to force the new provision on you.

You cannot be forced to agree to a new contract. He does not have to continue in the case. You may need to find another attorney. If you have faith in the attorney why is this clause even a concern ?
