Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida
Auto accident. Hit someone in the back of his car. How do I protect my assets in the event he sue's me for more then my insurance coverage?

You need an attorney. The injured party can go after your assets, if you don't have enough insurance to cover the claim. This is the reason why people NEED to have insurance, to protect their assets. This is also why you need an attorney now, before he files suit.

If you are sued for more than your insurance coverage, retain private counsel to monitor the lawsuit. I do it all the time.
