Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida
auto accident injury settlement amount
My mother and I were injured in car accident March 19 02, we were both injured. We hired an atttorney several days later. My mother had severe injuries, and is still under doctor's care. I had a very bad case of whiplash, was treated with therapy by a chiropractor for three months, along with an M.D.. We both still suffer today. I was working at the time, but have tried, and am unable to do the work I was doing at the time. My attorney called me today with an offer of settlement of $15,000, which I believe is a joke. Is it to late to hire another attorney, and do you believe this is a fair offer? He says I will clear around $6,500.00, after I pay him and my Doctor bills.
Please help, I have to make a decision whether or not to go to trial. My rating was 9 percent if this info helps.
Thank You,

No attorney can second guess another attorney without knowing all the facts. You can always discharge an attorney however you should not do so unless you know you can obtain another one.
