After an auto acident 11 months ago, our attorney has done very little, and never communicates with us. Can we get another attorney after this period of time?

If you are not happy with your lawyer you can change to another one if you wish. I would recommend setting a meeting with your current attorney first to discuss your concerns.
Good luck,
Yes. You will be responsible for the quantum meruit fees due, or the value of the services provided. That will be determined once you get a resolution of your case. I agree with Mr. Dorsten, try to set a meeting to discuss you concerns
Yes. You can terminate your attorney and hire new counsel. Your terminated lawyer may assert a lien for his/her time and costs, which is generally paid at the conclusion of the claim.
Sometimes these steps can be avoided by having a sit-down with the attorney and discuss your concerns.
You should schedule an office appointment with your current attorney and express your concerns. If the attorney does not adequately address your concerns, you certainly have the option to switch attorneys but you may be liable to your current attorney for the reasonable value of the work they have done on your case.
