bowling alley injury

i was bowling on a league on wedsnday..when i was preparing my delivery and was going to deliver the ball,,the rake board came down prematurely,,and as i stopped my swing right before foal line i pulled something in my back and shoulde r area,,i heard like ripping sound,,and today is friday and feels no better,,since it was equipment malfunction that force me to stop suddenly in my swing,,in which i thro ball hard,,would they be resposible for this

There are several issues with your question. First, in order for the facility to to be liable you would have to show that the facility had knowledge or should have had knowledge of some malfunction with the machine prior to your incident. Second, a lot of bowling facilities are now having its patrons acknowledge (either by paper or prior to entering names into the computer scoring system) that there are risks to bowling and that the patron assumes the risk. There are many other isses that may apply in your case. You should consult with a personal injury attorney to discuss the details of your case. Probably not. Just because the rake came down, does not make the owner responsible. You must still prove that the rake came down because of something that the owner did that was unreasonable (negligent). If the equipment malfunctioned because it had not been properly repaired or maintained, then perhaps they could be held liable -- but proving causation would be tough.
