Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

Car Accident

My boyfriend was involved in wreck where he was rear- ended. He has reported it to his isurance. The man who hit my boyfriend gave his information to him. He says that he is self insured. What does that mean. My boyfriend wants to know where does he send his doctor bills and what will happen in getting his car fixed. Do you suggest getting a lawyer.

Re: Car Accident

Self insured generally means that the guy has no insurance that would pay your boyfriend money for his injuries. It is likely that the other driver does have coverage to pay for the damage to your boyfriend's car. Your boyfriend's own insurance is responsible for paying a portion of his own medical bills. You should definitely get a lawyer. I would be happy to discuss the situation with you or your boyfriend. My office is in Palm Beach County.

Re: Car Accident

You should have an attorney help you out to and proceed with your claim, against a self-insured (as here), and to work with your doctors. Please feel free to give me a call for a free consultation 305.357.0296
