Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida
I got in a car accident a few months ago, I hurt my back and my neck. I've been seeing a chiropractor about once a week. My liability adjuster is going to be handling my bodily injury settlement and in the past offered to settle it at $800. I've never been in a car accident and had to deal with this, so I'm not exactly sure what a fair settlement is for this type of thing. Please advise.

The value of your case depends on the nature and extend of your injuries, how much money you have had to pay in medical bills due to the accident and whether you will suffer any damages or be affected by the accident in the future. Generally, the more severe the accident and the injuries, the larger the settlement will be.
That sounds low..
I know it may sound self serving but you should really go and speak with a lawyer. If the attorney is any good they will truly earn their fee and put more money in your pocket. Also the attorney can supervise your recovery and help to get you the proper medical care that you need (which will also maximize the recovery)
That being said, all cases are different and I cannot make you any guarantees.
My office is here in Fort Lauderdale and I would be glad to chat with you further about your case, at no charge of course.
Feel free to give me a ring, or shoot me an email.

One cannot evaluate the fair value of your case without knowing more about your medical care, the future prognosis, and the total bills. You should definitely speak to an attorney in your area who handles injury cases. In particular, you should look for an attorney who is board certified in civil trial law, as are the attorneys in our office. We offer a free initial consultation and would be happy to discuss the situation with you.

It depends on the extent of your injuries, lost wages, and pain and suffering. I would suggest you contact an attorney to negotiate with the insurer on your behalf. I offer a free consultation. Regards,
