Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

I got into a car crash about 2 year ago .And I was injured .me and my mom were both injured . we sought for an attorney to take our case. The Alachua and waldo police was chasing this guy that was dunk and on cocaine. He hit us on the right side of the car and we flipped and landed on the right side. I stopped breathing for about 15 seconds then my mom landed on top of me and thats when i started breathing again. Then we were being transported to the hospital in a ambulance, my mom had to be put on a strecture and a neck brace. When we got to the hospital the doctors took alot of x-rays of my mom and the doctors also had to take glass out of my arm, i had to have stiches. I had a lawyer, but they dropped the case and i dont know why and i need to know what to do next to contiue my suite.
