Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

Falling in the parking lot of a store, are they responsible?

I was grocery shopping, and the power went out, after checkout I went to my car to load my groceries into the car,the parking lot was dark from the outage,I slipped and fell and dislocated my knee, and was taken my ambulance to an area hospital. Is the store responsible, do I have a case? The manager is the one that called 911, so he was aware of what had happened to me. I would appreciate any answer that you could offer me.

You probably "have a case" depending on some more facts. What was it that caused you to slip and fall? Was it related to the darkness? Suggest you contact an attorney in your area experienced in personal injury claims to evaluate the facts in detail. For example. The case law says it is negligent for a person to proceed in the dark. Why not wait for a few minutes to see if the lights go back on? Did store have emergency lights inside? Did you ask for help going to your car? Did they have clerks to carry groceries?
