Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

Golf cart accident

My Mother was injured by a golf cart - A degloving of both lower legs w/exposed tibia to LE. She has had a muscle graft to the LE and skin grafts. She is able to walk now. She is in need of a rotor cuff surgery (has a massive tear). Still in hydro therapy for strength and endurance for walking. I would like to know about other accidents, if any, like this and what type of procedures I should expect an attorney to follow to take care of this matter. I would like my Mother to receive some type of pain and suffering amount but have no idea what to consider. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Golf cart accident

My practice for 23 years has been limited to representing injury victims, but even though I have represented thousands of injured people, some of them victims of various types of golf cart accidents, it is always necessary to have a better description of how the injury occurred in order to give a realistic approach to a case. Your mother has been seriously injured; there is no doubt about that. Now, some strategy must be employed to determine who the culprits are and how best to nab them. Please give more details in order for the strategy to be developed and your questions answered.

With best regards,

Re: Golf cart accident

Hello, I represented a lady who was pinned between two golf carts when the brake malfunctioned and the rear cart, setting on an incline, rolled forward pinning her legs between the rear bumper of the front cart and the front bumper of the rear cart. The carts were by Club Car, Augusta, Georgia. I sued the supplier, Club Cars of Iowa, the same company that leased and serviced the carts and Club Cart. I hired an engineer to look at the braking system. The lady had a bad case of arthritis and never healed properly. She fell while using her crutches and the humeral bone never did fuse to this day. We settled out of court. Another attorney called from California, to ask all about the case saying he had a similar case, but I didn't trust him. I live in Iowa, I'm licensed in Iowa and Florida and have counsel in Miami that I work cases with. We are currently involved with asbestos cases in Iowa. They are aggressive and we work the cases together and split the fee, that is contingent. I've been representing injured people for 18+ years. I practice primarily in personal injury, workers compensation, defamation, civil rights and professional negligence. Hope this is helpful. Call if any quesstions. 1-515-222-1110. My legal assts are Rosemary and Nicki.

Re: Golf cart accident

You are a lawyers nightmare. If mom wanted an attorney let her make the contact. I have seen too many legitimate cases destroyed by well intentioned children who think they have a parents best interests in mind.
