Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida
I hired a lawyer to represent me in a Slip&Fall case that involved a ( highly recommended) resort that was very expensive to stay at. This was not the first time going to this resort. We had a 5 day and 4 night reservation. Well the first night that we were there I slipped in the bathtub injuring myself pretty bad, reason being the resort failed to put a mat in the tub to prevent such falls. Had to go the emergercy room due to all the pain that I was having. Stay in bed for the rest of the vacation, could have went home, but, I felt bad for the rest of the family. Called a lawyer right away, went to doctor had weeks of phyical therapy, missed weeks work due to so much pain. Well this was alittle over two years ago, have done everything my lawyer wanted me to do. Yeah, its been awhile I just don't think my lawyer is doing his best for me. So I just want to know if I would owe him any fees, if I would get another lawyer to represent me? If so how much?

Yes you will owe the attorney a fee based on the work he has performed after the case is settled.
You should look at your retainer agreement with that attorney, which will specify what his fee will be. He will be able to recover this fee after you settle your case. Best of luck.
