Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

I hired a lawyer 3 years ago to handle my auto accident injury case. I was told of a settlement offer given to me this past Jan 2011 and accepted it. Since then I have not received the closing paperwork or the settlement. I keep being put off by my lawyer. Things do not feel right and I do not know who I should be contacting or what to do to get answers. My lawyer doesnt seem to have any answers to what is going on. What should I do?

Send a certified letter requestinga copy of the Settlment Offer, his acceptance, the Release and a closing statement, copy of the company check (both sides) with a request for a written reply in 5 days. He will know you are serious. If he doesn't reply, contact the Florida Bar.
