inability to pay

What happens if I don't have the ability to pay a subrogation judgement to an insurance company

from a non injury auto accident.

If a judgment has been entered against you, the law gives the judgment holder the right to force the sale of certain property to satisfy the debt. They cannot, thoiugh, force a sale of your house or, generally, jointly held property. Like anyone that is owed a debt, they can "bug" you for payment. You may wish to contact them early and work out a deal to pay the debt.
