Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

Insurance Company in Chapter 11 bankruptcy

Dear Sir/Maam,

I want to know about Insurance Companies that claims to be in bankruptcy chapter 11. Over one year ago I was hit from behind by a guy traveling in Texas in a rental car. We waited over 30 minutes for the police to show up and then agreed to just exchange information. I contacted his Insurance company and they gave me the run around and wanted to throw out my claim, claiming there was no way the damages could have come to over $1900.00 and there was no way I could have gotten hurt. The Insurance did not tell me they where in a chapter 11 and just found excuses to pay the claim. My question is what can a person or attorney do in order to collect from insurance companies in chapter 11 and how can they even be allowed to file a chapter 11 or who else do I need to go after and is there any attorneys that have any experience working with insurance companies ini chapter 11?

Thnak you

Renee Lampkin

Contact the Texas Department of Insurance to verify your information. They may have a fund available which will pay claims of insolvent carriers similar to NY. If not, your only option is to sue the other owner &/or operator in Texas. Good luck.
