Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

Liability for his car accidents

My husband recently left and moved from florida to ohio. The house is in my name only. He wants to keep his florida license up in ohio which has my address on it. He is no longer on my car or insurance. If he gets into an accident will they go after me and my house as listed as his address on his license. I'm worried because i can't force him to remove it and we are still legally married. Please advise. He thinks he can get over as a seasonal resident. I am on a fixed income and plan to get the papers and file my own divorce. Are there any self help guides available for that? I'm just afraid because he is a reckless driver who occasionally drives under the influence, and i am tired of being responsible for him and the messes he gets into.

Re: Liability for his car accidents

Under Florida law, if you do not own the car, then you are not responsible for your husband's negligence when he is driving his car.
