Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

My parents are hiring someone they know from town to paint their home. This person is not bonded nor insured. If they were to fall and get hurt, could they sue my parents, would the home owners insurance cover something like this. If this person were to sign something ahead of time stating that my parents would not be liable in case of an injury would this hold up. Thank-You.

If the homeowner is negligent, then yes, they could be sued. For instance, they need to allow this person to bring their own ladder and not use your parents ladder. Your parents need to take this person around the house and point out any holes that may be concealed. Signing something will not release them from liability if they are negligent.
