Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida
personal injury (Defendant)
I work for county tranist system. I was involved in an accident where I ran red light and struck a vehicle. Person in Vehicle was injured and now has filed suit against me. Are my assets at risk or am I covered under my employers liability. Can person sue both employer and me personally?

Your employer should have insurance coverage for you.

Your employer might be protected by sovereign immunity liability limits of $100,000. If you get named personally which is likely, I would advise you contact myself or another attorney to evaluate any exposure you have personally that is not covered by the liability policy your employer has in force now.
