personal Injury at a Hotel
I was at a Company Meeting in a large Hotel and during the meeting 2 pieces of the celing fell and struck me on the head and knee resulting in a 2 inch laseration on my head and a bruise on my left knee. I was taken to the Hospital by ambulance where I waited 5 1/2 hours for treatment.

Of course there may be a negligence claim against the hotel but you may have to prove notice of a defect in the ceiling such as evidence of a prior water leak or
improper construction. But first you should submit a claim to your employers Workers Compensation Insurance Company since this meeting was part of your employment duties. They will pay your medical bills and wage loss and later collect reimbursement from any liablity settlement or award. It is critical to follow the proper procedure required by law.
