Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

Personal injury at place of business

A friend owns a business and keeps very lax rules. Employees are allowed to bring their dogs on site. Another friend visited with his kids, who played in the backyard with an employee--name removed--dog. The dog bit one of the kids, requiring 12 stitches. Who--name removed--liable, the dog owner (for having a dangerous dog), the parent (for not watching his kids), or the business owner (at whose worksite the injury occurred)?

If the child provoked the dog, no one is liable. But both the dog owner and the "keeper" may be responsible depending on the facts. You should make a claim against both and see if they have insurance to cover the injury. The premises insurance may also have medical payments insurance.
