Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida
Personal Injury
Many years ago, at a very exclusive private Catholic High School, I achieved the distinction of class Valedictorian for my excellence in academic achieveent. My Senior class teacher, howout of jealousy and spite, announced before the entire Senior class assembled that she would not allow me to recieve my award. The reason she gave was that I had recieved too many awards already. A terrible charade was carried out on graduation night, and the 2nd place girl recieved my award. This has hurt and troubled me for so long that this year I wrote both the school principal and the head of the religious order, requesting a settlement for this spiteful action, which has altered my life/emotions through the years. The principal answered that she couldn't do anything about it because the nun in question is deceased. I reponded back that since Sister had made the announcement that she was depriving me of my award before the entire Senior class assembled, simple inquiries on her part would reveal the truth. Does her refusal to help me and to not investigate constitute further injury to me from her, and does this action in 2007 update the statute of limitations? Our correspondence, and her refusal to help occurred only about 4 months ago.
