Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

Potential Identity theft

The other day, I went to a copying establishment to have them scan and email to me a copy of my school transcripts that included my name, social security number and address so that I would have an electronic copy for job applications. I wrote my email address down and the clerk even repeated it to me and then proceeded to email it to a similar email address that was not mine. I am concerned about identity theft now. What legal recourse do I have against this negligent company? Thanks for your time.

Re: Potential Identity theft

Nothing to do at this point. You have no damage. You cancontact whomever the information went to as a precaution, to make sure that the information was discarded, but that is about it.
